Anyone could experience a personal disaster but few really think to include the affects of such in a Emergency Preparedness Plan.
This could happen via loss of income through death of a spouse, loss of employment, health issues or other losses. In this scenario you are unable to provide a living for yourself on a short term or long term basis. This is a possibility that could happen to anyone.
Though we have been erroneously taught that the government is going to take care of our basic needs such as health, housing and food in the event we become indigent, it is not a good idea to use this as your Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Planning for this event would include evaluating your expenses and budget and having provisions for covering for a determined number of months.
